Powell, Wyoming

Located in the Big Horn Basin. This irrigated basin lies in northwestern Wyoming between the Absaroka and Big Horn Mountain ranges. Yellowstone National Park is just 75 miles to the west, via Highway 14 through the Shoshone National Forest.

One of the finest trout fishing rivers in the West, the Shoshone River, lies about three miles south of town.

Highway 14A travels east/west through Powell with Wyoming #295 traversing north/south through the community.
